Really awesome.
But i also didn't fount all the notes.

What about an "Noteseeker" ?
As the player finished the game he gets this new item. A small talisman or statue, something like this. It's eyes start glowing if there are still notes in the current room.

I would love to read the full text, but don't want to seek through all the rooms again to find the last 3 notes. That would be too frustrating.

Didn't like it.
The idea .. why not. But gameplay is horrible.

I think main problem is that the character is moving way too fast.
it's hard to control the movement. Evading one bulled but ran straight onto another one.

And: the window is way too big. You may use a laptop or flatscreen. But on a normal screen is doesn't fit in. You should use a smaller window.

As it is now, i can't give you a better rating.

Thanks for the comment. I'm having a hard time gaging the right speed for the character, as I am getting different and contradicting feedback. I will work on the game and I hope it'll get better.

Either i didn't get the thing,
or this is just bad.

No tutorial, no indication what amount of enemies will aper from what direction.
One of the statues stands right at the edge of the screen and the first enemy wave is just a bit to big. What about an slow start ?

I give you 1 star for the idea and 1 star for the try.

Yeah, a tutorial and better feedback are definitely things I'm going to be putting in the post-compo version. Also need to zoom the view depending on the resolution as at the moment depending on the screen size you get more or less play-field to place your units in.

Unfortunately I have to keep this version "feature-frozen" for 2 weeks until the Ludum Dare voting is over. Do you think I should upload a separate version or update this one?

I'm pretty sure most guys just click it to see where to find the picture seen on the "games"-site.

Well it worked last year, got me over 10,000 views on the first day :D

Aren't there any turrets or did i missed them ?
And: seriously ? the cheapest upgrade is for 600 bucks ?
I've played 10 minutes and only got 300$ !
Means: the upgrades are way too expensive (especially because the last one is the only desired one).

So, missing parts are:
- upgrades (firepower, clip-size, walking speed, ...)
- turrets (something like machine-gun, sniper, rocket-launcher, flamethrower)
- upgrades (for the turrets, just a maybe)
- upgrade (magnet, could be really / very / absolutely useful)
- ( and so on ) ....

Don't know, but as it is now, it gets really boring after a short time.
Maybe at the next try.

I was thinking about adding turrets but wanted to launch the game before I went on holiday. This isn't a tower defense game, it's a top down shooter with barriers just to make the game a bit more interesting (don't get mistaken by the title). I will also add the other updates you mentioned once I have time. Thanks for the feedback :)

+1 star for the solid gameplay.
+1 star for the upgrade-system (i love upgrades).
-3 stars because it even contains premium content.

What else should i say ?
Till level 29 it's beatable. Level 29 is impossible, i thing.

Lots of potential that got wasted with the premium-stuff.
What a pity.

Bad thing that i can't really rate this, because i can't even pass level 3.
Way too difficult. In addition, the troop upgrades aren't available, same with the building upgrades (everything seen at "guide tree").
Another bat thing: the upgrades (affordable by crystals) don't have any descriptions (eg. what exactly they do).

Sorry, but you need to work on this again.

I see you had a difficulties to pass the 3'rd level, try to build the 'correct' barrack.

* in the first 3 levels range barrack its a better idea. Used your reinforcement on the for of the range unit.

Very nice kind of game play.
Really enjoyed it from the beginning to the end.

Only thing i could complain about is that the minions move a bit slow.
Means if I'm running around an enemy (to avoid it's bullets) and the minions try to get back to me (case i pressed "R") they will never reach me. They move kind of same speed as the enemies, and I'm running away from the enemies. So I'm also running away from them.
Maybe you should mace them way faster, tho the player can "use" them again faster.

We really got that a lot. I just upped their minimum speed so they should come much faster when they retreat. Uploading the new version as we speak! :D
