Well ... the roof of a church with a giant distillation tank in front of it in a peaceful looking landscape ... why not. But there are some little details that kill the gameplay:
- no save after finishing a level (that should be done automatically)
- aborting a level destroys the previously finished missions (see previous point)
- the cost(sum) for the new weapons slots differ between left(1000) and right(2200)
- the first level is way too long. Cut it to 10 or even just 5 waves.
- the levels are pretty easy and boring. Give us something addicting.
- the points seem to be saved between levels
=> playing a easy level and collect points (~10000)
=>the next hard level was way too easy from the very beginning

It's ok, but nothing special.

Bug found:
if the info panel of a gem is open (cursor over it) and the thief collects the gem the info panel is frozen.

Also a step wise undo would be nice, but it's not absolutely necessary.

All in all nice game (jet not too addicting to me).

Pretty nice way to solve the right click problem these games normally struggling with (ball moves to cursor instead of ball equals cursor). But since you have plenty of narrow, straight passages which still can be easily passed by this trick it's only a partially victory. But i'm sure you will solve this too. Plain but nice game, keep it up.

Hmm ... well ... i don't get it. Is there a certain target ? Sure, a nice test, but well ... how do you want to turn this into a addicting game ?

One of the worst escape games (with respects to the first impression. It looked so nice):
- the mute button should include every sound. Especially the [can't be used]-sound.
- the phonograph can't be left without finding both objects. First that looked like a bug. maybe explane the player why he can't leaf the scene ...
- want so see the help? >YES< .. what about to add a NO-Button too ?!?!
- using the flashlight EVERY time ? Really? is that necessary ?
- Objects aren't labeled. the 11(ball) just looked like a 8 to me. But of course it didn't worked ..
- the book just had no effect. at least i didn't realized any. what was it for ?
- the pot lags around (can be taken multiple times, swaps back to inventory after placing it, etc)
- what is the use of the notes at the right? an do i need to find everything ?? Maybe a in-game help which explanes this.

You have some nice graphics, sure. Maybe making a video ? there you don't need to program ...
